Hey All...well the time has come where I want to start playing around making music myself. It's been a few years now that I've been enjoying it and I'm sure it's going to suck incredibly lots but hey, I figure, what the hell? It's not like I can hurt anything by trying hehe
So I installed Reason because I was told that was a cool program to use. But other than fiddling with buttons and creating little loops I haven't the foggiest idea of how to put together
I tried impulse tracker but well...I couldn't do anything with it and had to just exit out the wrong way...my keyboard doesn't work in DOS for some reason, btw.
Any other suggestions? Or anyone want to try to help me figure this out? I really don't know much about music except to listen to it which is probly why I can't seem to do anything with Reason...

First of all, try to have a program you can work with. Ok, the one program is not the other, so you have to choose which suits you the best. Or like me, if you conclude you can't work with music software, buy hardware. Ok you have to have to money for it (that's why I go workign every holiday :) ). So just try to have something you can work well with. And then, it's up to your creativity, inspiration, your mood...When it comes to making music, there are no rules. Ok, it has to be sound decent, so don't be satisfied too fast with yourself :). Well, I'd say, good luck!
