If you're really feeling the electro sounds, get this week's tom neville EM. It gets a little too electro-y for my tastes at times [I prefer a mix of tribal and electro instead of just one style] but it has it's moments.
Also Pete Heller's essential mix from this year has it's moments when he gets into the really minimal electro-techno, especially around this track:
Dahlback & Dahlback - 'Sweden 1 Canada 0' (Turbo)
or a longstanding track that I've been hearing at my fav club boa for months:
Sander Kleinenberg - 'The Fruit' [buick project remix](Little Mountain) |

| yeah I dont mind Tom Neville, his productions are pretty cool, but I dont think I could handle his bland of electro for a full two hours. I enjoy the more sought of prog influenced electro, not overly bleepy, however still groovy if that makes any remote sense!lol I think the best way to describe the sound im currently digging would have to be Desyn Masiello. |

Same with me. Too many bleep and bloops gives me a headache. But he did have *some* moment in this week's mix. When he mixed in tracks like
Trentemoller - 'Polar Shift' (Poker Flat)
is the style which makes me feel electro the most. |

Noice! :)
(Love Frank Sinatra. Sang "My Way" at a karaoke bar once and won free drinks for my stylish rendition.)

Noice! :)
(Prefer his third and firth personally though. Jeff Mills played the adagietto movement of the fifth in the middle of his set down here in November last year and - in my munted state - it remains as one of the greatest moments of my clubbing career. Behind Mozart's clarinet concerto, it's probably my favourite piece of classical music of all time.) |

Not usually a fan of Chopin (nothing against him as a composer, I'm just not really a fan of piano pieces), but one of his waltzes in E-minor I think it was (not sure on the opus # - cfb finding the CD to check) was almost enough to drive me to learn to the piano solely to be able to play that piece. There's a part towards the end where it just goes a bit skitz and I can't help but thinking "Man, I wish I could play an instrument like that". :(
EDIT: Waltz no. 1 in E-Flat Major, Opus 18. I was close... :-/ |
