| i dunno they've gotten pretty lax recently, compared to what's been said earlier. NYE, i saw plenty of sneakers and jeans. 2 times myself i've just gone with t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers. and this was thanksgiving eve and this past saturday |

I haven't seen anyone turned away for their attire
They might tell you to dress better next time
It's more helpful to have girls with you (at least 1 girl for every guy), or else you might wait in line longer |

No dress code but like any NYC nightclub they have the discretion to not let you in. Usually for other reasons like being too inebriated or just generally disrepectful.
Coming early before 12am is usually a guarantee.
I've watched security work and sneakers, jeans, even UFOS (although we would never recommend wearing these, they're so raver circa 1997 - JK) have never been a problem. Lately, everbody is so bundled up, the main priority is to just get inside.
Any association with "raves" is bad, not because Avalon doesn't value the clientele, but the R.A.V.E. act legislation puts every club owner & promoter on guard.
