What is up with everyone being on tiestos case..im sure this has been covered but i am ranting
leave tiesto, van dyk all those "justin timberlakes" of trance alone...they are up there for a reason...
stop being all "rebelious" and "cool" by cutting them up and liking some underground guy with talent. im sure he/she has talent..but the WRONG talent at the WRONG time..if he/she had talent that the majority of clubbers liked then he/she would be a bit further then where he/she is...
give me ur opinions |

i like most of the bigtime djs of course but really don't find it odd if someone prefers someone who's not at the top yet...
i liked tiesto for all those years when the magiks were coming out and he definately wasn't such a celebrity...people will like who they want to, but i agree it gets old when people like a dj until he gets big and then say he sucks. |

ya man, i luved tiesto back in the day
but like when he becomes big..ppl criticize him so much and its like he has to be PERFECT
and i luv underground djs too..dont get me wrong |

It doesn't take much to impress the average clubber, seeing how most people are piss drunk, rolling balls, are newbs to the electronica scene who could give a flying .
I like all DJs, popular or "underground". Depending on what mood I feel at the moment affects who is on my fav list.
I don't think most people are mad at super star DJs because they get famous, it's their attitude that comes with it. They change what they used to be and totally blow off their fan base that got them their in the first place.

people criticize him so much on this board, just check the tic 2 thread. it get old, people losing respect for an artist/dj simply because he wants to gain more exposure and become well know (and of course make more money)....
people think he should only dj because of the music or for the benefit of the scene???? is that how most people do their jobs? of course not, tiesto wants to get paid just like everyone else...he's no different then anyone...imo people who say otherwise are hypocritical. |

| Zabiela has more talent in one set than tiesto houses in his carreer, thats simple as that, quite worshoping mainstream whores just because you dont know more talented artists. They are up there because they have been around for a longer time than the newer more talented DJing generation and because they got the lucky breaks, many DJs are talented and there isnt enough luck for all of them. I can think of quite a few DJs I'd see before tiesto, as for PVD i've never housed him in quite as high prestige as most of the people on this board, but in all his years most have been quality, last year was shaky but he is welcome to venture out. PVD has been a lot more solid and consistant than tiesto has over the years, infact tiesto really only rose to catch a sun beam compared to some other DJs, while he is rank number one right now many would agree he is beyond his prime, more believe he is a sad sight rather than something that ever had a prime. |

| unlike pop music, people like tiesto make it to the top based on actual talent rather than good looks or some other non-musical factor. generally speaking, people at the top deserve to be there... |

as cool as you sounded it your reply, assuming that i don't know any other djs besides the big boys, you really should know that some of us have like the popular guys long before they were popular will once the hype dies down. i've been involved in trance for over 5 years now and have heard countless djs and sets...tiesto plays the music i enjoy the best. stop being an elitist because you don't know about me..'its as simple as that.' have fun on the zabiela bandwagon. |

Dude read what you just wrote. You're doing the same exact thing you just bashed him for, judging him without knowing him.
About Zabiela...it's not hard to spot talent. The dude is a ing monster with his efx and scratching, not to mention mixing. The guy has variety also. What do most of the "top" DJs have? Beat matching abilities? Popular tunes to whore over and over? Wow...that's some real talent there! I'm not saying that's easy cause god knows Tiesto can do it far better than I, but comparing him to all the other top notch DJ's, that's pretty low.
I still enjoy sets from the "kings of trance", but I think "quality" is starting to take over, rather than "brand". |

Thats pretty much an exact description of the things tiesto lacks and not because he can't beatmatch, mix well and pick good tunes just that half the time he seems to be smashed off his face and not bother. Knowing full well he could play the test set ever and still get praised by his loyal bunch arsebandits. I've seen some amazing sets from him when he can be bothered and some absoluetly disgraceful unworthy of the local pub sets aswell. Pretty much proves with him as no.1 there's still a way to go before quality overtakes branding |

yep, let's all now be forced to like the popular dj's cause they must be popular for a reason. :rolleyes:
