Final Scratch Question... HELP

OK... so I have a huge problem.... When I use Traktor Final Scratch sometimes the songs seem to have a mind of their own. They speed up or slow down by them selves. That's not good at all. Then when you rewind the record, the song rewinds a couple seconds later. Kinda like if there was some kind of latency problem or something. My last problem is that sometimes it sounds like if FS was clipping or something. It gets that chirping noise and it adds weird noises to the music.

It's worth mentioning that the computer and FS are one week old! This is my set up....

iBook G3, 900 Mhz
Mac OS X (10.3 - Panther)
640 MB RAM
40 Gig Hardrive
Final Scratch 1.1.5.132
Technics 1200
Pioneer Mixer
Shure M-44-7 Needles

think stanton's minimum requirements included a higher processor speed. could be yours is a little too slow for it :(

yea..check out FS web.. i think you met the requirements check and see if your cables are well plugged in.. no electric wires near the system as this system has no 'ground' cables so.. also see that the needles are clean as they're quite sensitive..

YAY!!!! I fixed it!!!! I read several posts on several boards (including FS's board) and most people said to downgrade to 10.2. So I did, I wipped out the computer and did a clean install of 10.2 and it WORKED!!!!! I mixed for like an hour last night and no problems... Let see how long it will stay that way... Thanks guys!

The FS board is very active and lots of people have issues like you so that is definitly the place to go first for help.

Also, it is a known issue that 10.3 and TFS 1.4 do not play well together. With the 1.5 upgrade in a few weeks it will fix it (supposidly). Also because 1.5 is a pay-for-upgrade (not a free update) there will also be a free patch for 1.4 so fix Panther compatibility issues.
