I've got the choice of either of the above decks as part of my first DJ setup. Which would you recommend I get (and why)? I'm mainly going to be spinning trance, with a little hard house.

| I suggest you start off with technics and only technics. Go look for some used 1200s. They may cost around in euro maybe 200-300. |

| However much i'd like Technics (lots and lots), theres no way i can afford them, or really want to spend that much at the moment, until I'm really sure this is something i want to do... that is unless someone's willing to sell me two for a coupla hundred pounds ;) |

Obviously tecnics are the greatest turns ever made, but i understand that you probably have a budget and wanna only spend about $200 per table..i would go with the numarks..i bought some for my friend who is gettin into spinnin and they arent too bad..they are direct drive and come with okay cartridges to practice with...

Go with the numark's.
Citronics won't last you as long.
These are great tables to get you started and help you to learn the basics.
Look up some of the older threads, I've recommended these quite a bit.
Peace. |
