That is very interesting, but she dosnt like cheese at all. When she comes over I play songs that arnt cheesy at all and she loves them. So maybe She's a keeper :) :eyes: |

well that looks like a pretty solid collection of tunes. nothing too hard, mostly if not all melodic, definitely a nice pure trance set with some slightly harder elements that girls could appreciate :)
as for structuring the mix...its hard to give advice for that because arranging tracklists is something unique to every dj and unique to every set. it depends how you want your listeners to feel the energy of your mix. as you lay down each track, think about how you want to direct your listeners energies and emotions, and that should help you pick out the next track...i'm not sure where i read this, but it really IS all about knowing your tunes like the back of your hand and being able to pick out and mix them effectively to create a mood.
edit: i notice your tracklist DOES have some slightly harder tunes in it, like m.o.r.p.h, g&m project, etc...generally speaking it works well to start the set more dreamily and melodic and gradually go into harder stuff. thats not a rule by any means, its just something that often works. :p
hope this helps. |
