Sometimes I find it hard to place a track in a specific category. Some tracks is a little of everything kind of. What I want to know is:

What's the real difference between these genres?:

Melodic Trance, Hard Trance, Tech Trance, trance, Uplifting, Progressive, Trance, Ambient, dark ambient

I would appreciate to get some precise answers if anyone has...
thx.

I wouldn't take it too seriously, it's known that Ishkur made it as a joke.

Besides, look at some of what's under the "not trance" category:

Rank 1 - Airwave
System F - Exhale
The Thrillseekers - Dreaming of You

Most of the tracks in that section (Not Trance) I don't agree with him that they're not trance.. but I do agree with him in that they are terrible songs. The producers who made those songs are generally good producers who let themselves go by using the extremly over used supersaw waveform in bad and even boring melodies.. forever ruining what respect most producers had for them.. *sigh*
