I cant open my song I made in reason. How can I fix it. It says "BAD FORMAT" this happend right after I defraged my puter. I looked on reasons web site and tried what they said (rename the file) that did not work.
Anyone know what I can do here? |

Sounds like your buggered!!!
Move on, create a new song, a better one!!!
I do it all the time. Think I've produced the best track I've ever done, lose it, due to stoopidity or faulty hardware, then decide to re-do the track. Always works for me. Pay more attention to the small details 2nd time round. |

Man I hate to redo it. I spent alot of time adding alot of details to this song. I thought I was just about finished with it. and bam!
Will you see if it opens for you, so I can know if its something else besides the song. |

| It opens fine for me. Except it's missing parts of the file. Some things look normal, and some just look like it was chopped up with a knife. It doesn't play though for some reason. Sorry bud. |

I know how to fix it. But I need some help. If you open the song and go to File then "Song Self-Contained settings" and choose uncheck all then save the song as a new name. This will solve my problem. Can you please do that for me. |

Crap! I'm really not liking this. O well I guess I need to just move on then. Thanks anyway my man. O the reason nothing plays is becouse I use reason in the Re-wire mode with cubase sx. So all the midi is in cubase. Well atleast I have that. But damn I hate when like this happens. |

| Renaming the project didn't work. Any more methods to solve the bad format problem? :conf: ( it's an old Reason 2.5 project and I really would like to open it ) |
