im tryin to make a new tune... its pretty good for my first time. but there are always these crackling sounds comin from my speakers when i play it in fruityloops. what can i do to fix that? is it my soundcard? or is it that i have too many channels loaded and it cant deal with that many? even when i record the song it records the crackling too. if anyone can help me id appreaciate it greatly since this has been goin on for about mmmmm a couple months now and its buggin the out of me.

it's because your computer is too freaking slow.. go into the audio settings and turn the buffer all the way up.. problem solved..

Correct.

I'm about 110% positive that Alonzo is correct.

But if he's not.. I remember one time some kid had a similar inquery and it turned out that his PC gaming satellites were barking around 1-1.5 khz at a moderate volume. So idunno.

If your computer really sucks bad, my advice to you would be to try out a less graphically intensive program, like buzz.

Maybe IT, XM, or Mod. hehe : )

just a quick explanation on buffer...

Lower buffer means faster response time..

Higher buffer means slower response time..

Why do you want higher buffer?? Because with lower buffer, it tends to crackle because it tries to reduce the latency and response time between the input from the user and the processor...

Basically.. if you have a MIDI keyboard connected to your computer and you set it up with fruity, and play a note, it will be more in time with a lower buffer than with a higher buffer...

no, it's because your computer sux.. if you have some integrated Sound Blaster crap card then you won't be able to do this, but if you have a decent on turn on ASIO in the audio settings and it'll run a lot better then turning the buffer up.

Look in the Audio Settings in fruityloops, if your getting underruns then this usually means your computer is too slow. Also check that the Cpu counter isnt reaching anywhere near 100%.

If not it will probably be a soundcard problem.
