| Hes finally playing in his hometown again. I swear after reading about 5,000 threads on pure's forums, its nice that hes coming around. I wonder how many are feeling about it though, seeing he hasnt played here in a while because of the lack of interest in techno or whatever has caused him to not be here. |

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....
I'm am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO there.
Jeff Mills - Live @ The Liquid Room Tokyo is one of my inspirational sets from back in the day. If I move to Japan I'm really hoping to hit up the liquid room / much less see him live.
This sounds like the next best thing :) |

I have to say the Turnout for Ken Ishii (granted the weather SUCKED) was pretty crap. Maybe there is an anti-techno vibe in chi-town.
Tom,
What Threads? I never read Pure's forums.. but I didn't realize that he had a thing against Chi-town.... |

There are a lot of techno fans in Chicago - just go to a Hawtin show and you'll find plenty of them.
Pissed I'm going to miss this show - but I'm going to be in the UK to see Armin's 9 hour set and then off to London to see Mazi at Fabric - shouldn't be too shabby of a weekend to celebrate my birthday!!!! |

| To use a Ken Ishii turnout to judge techno support in Chicago is unfair. To fill Vision requires much more than being a good DJ of any genre. Only the superstar DJ's can fill that place. Ken Ishii couldn't fill redno when he was there. Mills is a novelty due to his lack of desire to play in Chicago. People only guess that he doesn't play here because of some disliking. I really doubt it. Who cares really? Plenty of great talent to take his place. This night will be jam packed just like Morillo and AVB. Princess...you are right in saying there are plenty of techno fans in Chicago, but very few supporters of techno. |

| ninja_k, just go to www.purefuture.com & then forums. Its kinda a techno vs house war there. It aint no trance forum & not too many peeps like Tiesto or PVD there so its rough, But its mostly good good people & that have a love for thje chicago club scene. |
