A depressing day...formatted my computer and the sound doesn't work!
It just won't accept the drivers, dunno why. Hope I can fix it til tomorrow, cause it's driving me crazy not be able to listen to any music for the whole day.
Anyone experienced this too? It really sucks. |

Did you install a different operating system? Other than that, the only advice I can think of is to rtfm, which is a pain in the ass.
Sucks though. If that happened to me, I'd cry. |

You can have music by pressing the "radio" button in most sound systems :D
Chances are one day you might find a radio that plays stuff you like ;) |

make sure you have your motherboard device drivers installed. Sometimes windows won't recognize your north/south bridge(s) without some drivers installed. If you have lots of (?) unknown devices in your device manager that is likely the case.
Other than that, the sound adapter is probably shot hence it isn't being recognized by win32. |

| It could be a virus. Or maybe try setting you date back on your computer to run the same as an earilier date. See if that helps to find the solution. |

Now it works again :) Not depressed anymore...
After formatting I got this w32.blast.worm again. So I had to quickly remove it once again, couldn't get much better huh? Happened right after formatting... funny indeed.
Well, now I can listen to some music again, and I've never felt better :D |

Hard to get protection right after formatting, I use Norton 2003, but it wouldn't take it down. I have a file which does, but you have to be quick, cause it makes your pc restart the whole time... very annoying. |

or just disconnect from the internet while putting the protection on :) |
