Well, I told you I was going to tell you why this thread sucks once I got my beauty sleep. I was running on an hour's worth of sleep today because I stayed up last night studying like the dilligent student that I am...
I'm smarter than to ruin a thread because of personal beef. I'm going to ruin this thread (for you, at least) beacuse of the dumbass comments made on here. Why don't we start by highlighting this sentence: "we're having a perfectly legit and mature discussion about the president and actions being taken against his lying." A legit discussion about his lying? Where was the Clinton thread about HIS lying?? Or how about every thread about every other president about their lying? Wake up and smell the Columbian coffee: Bush didn't lie, he was just wrong about the weapons. That's all. He had to make a call based on the intelligence he had. It didn't come totally to fruition. Ok, he was wrong. happens. Better that we got a malignent narcissist out of power, though, don't you think? Or are you just going to forget that minute detail? Political commentary isn't your M.O. Please don't start now.

if you actually read the newspaper, you would actually read that the CIA said in MANY MANY reports that there was NO evidence of WMD in iraq and the director of the CIA repeatedly told Bush not to go off on this..
your analogies sucks- clinton cheated on his wife. no one outside his personal life was affected. bush created a ing war over this. he had people killed bc of this.
please dont start what now? excuse me if i actually care about what happens with this country bc of its government, dont tell me i shouldn't start. you're unreal  |

oh give me a break you damn dirty ape. My analogies are right on target, you're just picking on Bush because he missed on a call. Show me these "MANY, MANY" reports since you decided to become NYTA's version of occrider. Again, you're ignoring the fact he overthrew Saddam and the majority of his inner circle. Need I remind you about how instrumental Bush was in consoling the country on 9/11? I guess I shouldn't, since I'd burst your bubble...again.
If you want to start on caring about your country, try starting with respecting the fact that Bush is doing the best job he can for us. There are only a small fraction of people who have the ability to take on the task of BEING THE LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD!! I'm unreal because I like to be fair and impartial? Dude, you're off the deep end...You're gonna start commenting on government, don't look at just one issue. Don't become one of those people who jump on the "I wanna be a young political activist" bandwagon, start hanging out Union Square in the summer with other idiots carrying banners that say "Impeach Bush" with the "s" replaced by a swastika. Don't become one of those...stick to trance... |

Im not gonna read all of this simply because I just dont have the patience to read a bunch of ranting - except for the factual stuff.
These are my 2 cents, I dont love nor hate Bush. Hes had a tough presidency (9/11 isnt exactly something easy to deal with, whether it was his fault or not), so Im cutting him about 1 inch of slack. Other than that, I dont feel that Bush is doing such a great job - unemployment sky rocketed and a surplus left from the Clinton admin was turned into a huge deficit. Now onto Saddam, I agree, he should definitely be gone and out of Iraq, but it was the principal of how Bush shouldnt have lied to the US about the reason for going to Iraq. Any person with a HS education had the common sense to figure out that they werent there for weapons of mass destruction - they used this as a scheme to have a reason to go there. On a final note, George Bush Sr. is having a wonderful presidency.
Thank you and good night. |

Ok morons and enlightened ones. Bush is full of he lied to the American people for 3 reasons.
1. He wants a war with iraq
2. He wants a war with iraq
3. go figure....
Hans blick the un weapons inspector even said bush aggrandized the reports.....it makes perfect sense...constable dubya is taking his tyrantical policy to a whole new level. he wanted iraq from the get go and the 911 terror attacks are the perfect catalyst. Pray on our sympathies to get us to back him on HIS crusade to take over the world!! Not to mention creating tons of business oportuniites for his special interest buddies at companies like Haliburton who over charges our own army for gas in iraq!!!!!!! it's outrageous!!!!!
If people can't see he had his own agenda in Iraq then i feel really sorry for you!!! He wanted to finish the job his father couldn't....
If anyone really wants to disagree with me then first dig up some info on Paul Wolfawitz.....STOP BEING BRAINWASHED BY OUR MEDIA ever noticed that FOX NEWS IS ALWAYS TRYING TO SCARE YOU?????
Nothing works better than fear people......
America is no longer a democracy it's an Oligarchy.
Anyone who thinks Bush is a good leader, i suggest you bring a litte bit more to my table than what is spoon fed to you by fox news!
oh and here's a link discussing the cia reports.as well as a brilliant flute concerto by Mozart.......http://www.npr.org/rundowns/rundown.php?prgId=3&prgDate=3-Feb-2004 |

Ok I apologize for my personal attack on the president (the Yucca Mt. thing), but his new budget really makes me angry because I have family who are firemen and in the military.
The articles I posted still bear relevance however, and those are the real issues at hand. :)
I just saw MoveOn's new TV ad, and it's pretty hard-hitting.
See it here:

D'oh if only I weren't so poor right now, I'd send them some $$.:D |

LoL!! You're good peoples. I totally respect your opinion on everything, bro. I can say this because I actually look at the political discussion board, I just don't ponitificate out of nowhere...
On a side note, for people's FYI: Another thing that pisses me off other than liars are wannabe liberals. So if I acted a little off-color on this thread, you can understand why...
Now since Fox, CNN, The New York Times, and MSNBC are all sellouts because they support whatever political opinion is paying them off, I have to go watch REAL news to get the TRUTH IN AMERICA!!
:runs off to read The Guardian and watch The Christian Broadcast News: |

With all the 'respect' i can muster from my anal glands I'd have to say that any point, be it valid or not, isn't worth hearing after using a comment like that. You try living in the country that is being bashed for being americas 'bitch' with the BBC who are s, ITV Laughing at bbcs plight and sky news showing how they caught saddam from 8 different camera angles including sniper cam and the simulation they make of that.
Bush has good and bad ideas, everyone does, but now I see 'the greatest country on earth' being torn over opinions, so u do have to wonder if he's right or not. Going to Iraq to get rid of saddam yes, he was an evil dictator, but it's what he does next that will let us decide on his true intentions, I just feel sorry for all the ppl dying cos of it all |
