Thanks for posting this
I will be hitting the polls as soon a I get out of school.
I'm pretty sure I will be voting for John Edwards. I don't like Kerry b/c he is a interest-group-whore, and there is somethign about him that I just don't like...he is unsettling. I don't like Clarke because he is too wishy-washy/hypocritical: gung-ho on Kosovo, but lambasting Iraq. I used to like Dean, but let's face it, he is out of the race. Edwards has a lot of the same good policies as the other candidates, but he seems much more genuine. |

Yeah I'll probably vote for Edwards in my primary too. :) If we weren't in a time when terrorists were threatening us, then Edwards could beat Bush I believe. Actually Edwards would still do a better job on national security because he woulnd't gut the funding of police, firemen, and the Coast Guard like Bush has. :) Kerry has been in combat and has served on the Senate Intelligence Committee though.
Kerry's taken lots from "special interest" doners when soft money was legal, but they are mostly organizations like unions and the sierra club etc. :) Edwards has taken lots of "special interest" money from trial lawyer organizaions, and Dean has "special interest" lobbyists helping with his campaign. Bascially you can't be a politician for two seconds without having a core base of "special interests," or taking money from lobbyists.
What matters is who their "special interests" are. Are their interests in protecting Halliburton, ExxonMobil, Pfizer, and screwing the American people, or are they in helping ordinary American people?
That's the main thing to think about.
Besides, after watching Bush say, "I'm not going to lose" on Russert, I'd do anything to watch him give a concession speech. Indeed I will be volunteering for whomever the nominees are. :happy2: |
