Hello all....
I am on the lookout for a new computer and some recording software.... it's been 5 years since I bought a laptop and I have been using a tape deck recording system that I am sick of!
I want to be able to record straight from my decks on to the computer, burn cds and send out mp3s......any suggestions on computer requirements and types of software needed to facilitate this would be much appreciated.......
thanks |

| all your computer needs is a decent soundcard and some sort of recording software. if you get a soundblaster make sure its an audigy. some people dont like it, and some people do. i personally have it and its perfectly find for recording. my sound quality is good. if you cant get an audigy, just make sure your soudncard has a "line-in". make sure its separate from the mic. for the recoring software, you can use soundforge, or some other ones. |

| in order to make your wav to an mp3, u just need a wav converter. go to www.download.com and download cdex. its for free and gets the job done rather quickly. just make sure after you download it, check all the settings and preferences just to make sure its the right soudn quality you want, where it uploads the file, etc. |
