View this Thread in Original format PVDrules Hello all ok here is my problem. I recenlty downloaded a movie file and when it was finished the file was turned into a bunch of rar files. 2 Directories .. cd1 and cd2. So I un-rared cd1 and then it made another dir with a cue and bin file. So then I used CDRwin and loaded the cue sheet and then burned a cd. So now the file on the cd is an mpeg-2 file... I got excited thinking I was going to be able to view the file now but I was wrong :(. So I did some more research and found out that mpeg-2 files can be converted into SVCD's. So then I installed the nero mpeg-2/SVCD converter and loaded up nero. I followed the instructions and burned a new cd hoping it would convert the mpeg-2 file into an svcd.. but that was a no go. any help would be greatly appreciated!! thanks PVDrules ok I downloaded the mpeg-2 player and that worked lol... sorry for the stupid post. The source for a VCD are MPEG1 files like WAVE files are the source for audio CDs. MPEG2 files make a SVCD. If you want to burn a VCD, just start a new compilation in Nero and select VCD on the left. Then drag your MPEG1 files into the compilation and burn. VCD <--> MPEG1 SVCD <--> MPEG2 Esion or simply burn the .bin files using nero (dont worry about the .bin file if its 800megs it will still burn fine) ... PVDrules thanks everyone!!!
