I agree with Nik, Airwaves V-one mix sounded pretty rough, it just didn't work well with that seven cities melody. Armin mix was beautifully contructed, it was powerful yet retained the beauty. Michael Woods mix was even better than V-one mix. |
thats interesting. i thought the v one remix was the best one. gave the song a nice hard edge and then in the breakdown the beauty comes out =) |

Armins VOCAL remix.
Now that kicks massive ass and is seriously underrated. |

I'm sorry y'all, there is simply no question. V-One's Living Cities Remix IS the best mix of Seven Cities. I consider it the most beautiful trance track I've ever heard. The beauty of it is in the hard, driving buildup and then the climactic plateau and :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: breakdown.
In other news, what the does "slated" mean in this context? |

OMG the airwave (V-one) remix is so underated, i only heard it a few months back, its massive :eyespop: :eyespop:
The original (atlantis mix) is probably one of the best trance tunes ever, the melody for one is unforgetable, armins remix while still good(ish), brought nothing new or exciting to the table at all but yet it was huge because its "armin", where as the airwave mix took the 98/99 monster to totaly new levels and right bang up to date, it was one of the best tunes of 2003 but was completely overlooked, it you like tunes along the same line as nitromethane - time to die (seraque mix) amd airwave vs rising star - sunspot (DCML mix) check this mother out  |

of course the v-one remix is the best.everyone knows it.who cares if the melody doesnt suit the harshness,IMO they go hand in hand.hard driving beat with an amotional melody.all my friends who are only into the 'anthems' think this is the best version by far.
gotta love when the hi hats kick in,in the intro.when i first heard this i went :eyespop: :eyespop:
bangin! |

for me tis armin's remix all the way
one of my favorite songs
dont like l-vee's remix, his sound doesnt fit into the song, takes out the beauty of the melody, he just made the song harder |

| I like V-one remix better than Armin's mainly because it's different. |

yeah exactly.
lets face it, it didnt need a re-release. although im happy to have the ambient dub and liquid summer mixes on CD, the new armin & michael woods mixes were not needed imo.
they could of a released a new packaged without commisioning new remixes. they had:
Ambient Dub
Transatlantis / Liquid Summer Mix
Paris & Sharp Remix
Red Jerry's Katcha Remix
all unreleased. ive got them all on vinyl and cd now, so i can give up the search for any more seven cities mixes |

It's OK, not amazing but not too bad either. I like the Atlantis mix, and the V-One mix too, both great tunes.
So who slated you for playing it? |
