Ok so I have been a fan of the Mini Disc for abotu 5 years and I picked up one of the Sony NetMD ones that uses USB to write to the disc. But it wont take anything above like 7-10 megs, ie NO LIVE SETS. it pisses me off. so i have begun using a program to chop them up into seperate files and then writing them on there. Kinda blows but o well

i could burn full length (74 min) CDs and livesets on my sony MD when i was using it tho

you've got software problems(or a defective peice of equipment), I can do it just fine. If it's really that bad, just record the liveset in realtime, using your soundcard.

I got my portable MiniDisc player without the software but I could record from my computer to it, and livesets were no problem. I used a wire that has your standard headphone plug at both ends, so one goes into the speaker jack of your compiuter and the other into the MD player, and then i would turn the volume on the computer all the way up, turn off instant messengers, and play what i wanted to record. results were good. :) my portable broke, but i still have a full size MD Deck here. :) and almost 40 MDs of assorted trance/techno/etc etc :D

Pssst...I was really good at making up names for my trance/techno MDs...:p

back to the subject at hand...yes, faulty equipment or software sounds like the culprit.

*EDIT* You know whats really fun but wacky? Playing Grand Theft Auto 3 for PS2 to music from Megaman 2 for Nintendo, and the music from MegaMan 2 is coming from the MD Deck...i recorded the music from my NES emulator. :haha:

Why would you want to swap disks when you can store your entire collection on an ipod?? :conf:
