I could OC from 2.4C to 2.5C with a simple BIOS setting change on this Intel mobo, but I'm not gonna bother.

But isn't that amazing?!? A 100MHz OC on an INTEL MOBO!!! Go figure...

that's what i just did, 166FSB + 12.5 multiplier instead of 12.0

running at the same 50C only the fan keeps running at constant 3800 RPM instead of fluctuating between 3800 and 2500

Personally I'd clock it back down. 80MHz isn't that noticeable, and it's annoying to have a fan going that fast all the time (depends on the fan actually).

that's exactly what i was thinking. you can barely hear it, but when it goes down to 2500 it's even quiter than dell's "superquite" pc - you can't hear it at all. i have an antec superquiet case :)

Then just clock it down, that's what I'd do.

Is it Antec Sonata? Tell me the info, I'm curious.

yep! the one with a 380watt suply. it's really quiet; with 3 fans it's almost as quiet as dell's superquiet case. also has cool blue leds in the front. and i love how the side opens and the drives slide out :)

Nice. Mine's a L-L PC65. Love everything about it, except that it ain't the quietest of cases.

Bah...

CRT is the way to go.

Unless you find a 19" LCD with at least a 16ms response time... to eliminate ghosting.
