How can there be a place without Yakult?

This thread here, showed me a sad fact about Portugal: there's no Yakult there. I thought it was sold everywhere in the world, but now I know that some people have never had the opportunity to drink it, which is plain sad.

My questions are:

1) Do you know what Yakult is?
2) Is it sold where you live?
3) Do you like it?

It's a probiotic drink (ie. one with live bacterial cultures that are good for your digestion). I don't particularly like it, but if I just ate some food at a place with dubious hygiene standards, I will occasionally down a can of coke to kill any bad bacteria in my stomach followed by a Yakult when I get home, to replace the good bacteria.

It could be worse... it could be an alcohol-based drink...
... so we don't miss it here.
