anyone head of a computer malfunctionin because of cold weather?
i had my case in the car for about 2 hours, and it was in teh negatives outside
now my computer starts, does the POST, Ram checks OK.
but i cant hit delete to go to the BIOS settings, and when it gets to detecting IDE drives, nothing is found, and the computer doesn't freeze, i can hear the hard drives spinning, and the HDD light flashing,
but no loading of the OS |

your problem:
computer gets cold, computer gets brought into warm room. condensation occurs on cold parts. condensation causes circits to short. computer doesn't work anymore. |

If the computer was started up within a short period of time from bringing it inside, then thats prolly exactly what happened!

Should have waited until the computer was at room temp before turning it on.
I agree with condensation... |

if the HD's are toast i hope it's only the OS one
