TranceAddict Forums Archive > DJing / Production / Promotion > DJ Booth requirements to use an efx-500 View this Thread in Original format trancinchink right now i have a numark dxm-06 mixer and i'm thinking of getting a pioneer efx-500. i'm soon to be upgrading my mixer to an ecler smac pro30 or pro40 and i know those have an effects input w/ an effects send and wet/dry fader thing. but my current mixer doesn't have that. i just wanna find out what is actually necessary to use the efx-500 with a mixer. cuz i'm hoping i can use it with my current one before i upgrade. trancinchink well, my mixer does have the balanced 1/4 jacks. but i'm not sure exactly if my mixer has a send. the thing is, my current mixer which i will be using for another month or so already has efffects built into it. it does have an effects assign, effects, on, effects monitoring for headphones. but thats all part of the built in unit. if i use the balanced inputs, would the efx-500 be compatible to all those buttons as well? trancinchink *bump* sorry... i just sorta want an answer to its compatibility to my numark dxm-06. any help?
