Hey Man,
Do yourself a favor and go to System Soundbar on the 24th. Here is the information for that date:
August 24.
Saeed & Palash (4 hr. set)
Deep. Dark. Tribal. Percussive. Progressive.
These two men embody those five words and so much more.
Also, check out www.systemsoundbar.com for more information. This is my favorite club in Toronto...it's amazing. The vibe is unlike any other club out there. It is always filled with vibrant party peeps that are only there for the music, and loving every bit of it until the very last beat. One of the most elegant clubs out there now as well.
If you have never been to the Guvernment before (www.theguvernment.com) you should check it out simply because of how amazing it is. The club is HUGE...has some of the best lights and lasers out there. The sound is the best in the area...but the only problem is the crowd on a Saturday night. Basically it's Girls playing fashion show (not much wrong with that!) but as a result it draws all the meatheads that want to get a piece. You have to deal with big sweaty ginos that most likely don't even wear shirts into the place. The trance is mostly progressive, although their resident Mark Oliver played mucho cheese last week.
Also, check out turbonightclub.com if you want as well...awesome club. Hope this helps, and good luck with hockey! :)

Well on Fri I'd check out Turbo or System Sound bar......both are great places to check out spining some great house.....The sound set up at System is killer and well worth listen....as for Sat if you've never been to the guverment it's a great place to go the lazer light show is amazing and Mark Oliver spins an alright set though he used to spin more trance but now seems to be on a tech/house kick...so those are my suggestions.......
hope that helps.......

My first choice would be System Sound Bar because thats where i regular. The Guv is like what (cdn trance) and (viceroy )say.. I like System cause dress code is loose, people are cool, sound is awesome up stairs and down in the dark room. And oh ya if you do hit up the Sound bar....Go sit at the back on the couches ;)

Hey Steve,
What do you know about Saeed & Palash.. I've heard mucho about them, but dont know what they spin. My friends describes them as (and I quote) "camel humpers that spin CDs".. are they just over-hyped progressive DJs or is there something special about them.
I'll be moving back to TO on the 24th, with no phone or internet for first little bit, so maybe I'll end up there.. :)

Hey Ed,
Your friend sounds like a racist prick :stongue: Kidding, but that is harsh. They are not dj's that just spin cd's. They are the duo behind additive recordings, which produces some of the best trace/progressive music out there. I saw them last time they were at system, it doesn't surprise me that they are coming back.
They are definitely worth the trip.
Peace,
