live broadcasting on winamp?

| hi, the other day a friend of mine let me listen to some of his mp3's. but he streamed them from his winamp and i conected to his stream (hope im explaining this write) so i was able to listen to what he was playing, would there be a way to set it up so i could do a live set and a few of my friends could listen live? im on 576k so i know only one or 2 ppl could listen, but its still handy to know. anyone know how to do it? thanks in advance :) |

| I set this up for myself recently. You have to download both the Shoutcast DNAS server and the plugin, it's pretty easy to set up. Also, do you have 576k up or is that down ? The important thing when streaming is your upload, not your download. |

| I'm gonna contact my ISP and ask if I could get some extra up kb's for a couple of $$ extra per month. Would be cool to play live for some online station. |
