man, what a shame for such a great cyclist =<<<.
he was found death in a hotel in Rimini (probably suicide).
real fans say this was no surprise actually, as he was suffering a depression and drug addiction.
any thoughts? |

He was the king of the mountain! It's a shame not see more this great cyclist.
After his elimination on the Giro de Italia for dopping he has had many depressions and won't be a surprise if the cause of the death was a suicide. |

News is that is wasn't suicide but a heart failure.
Police talked to people close to Pantani and concluded that suicide wasn't likely. Also the drugs found in his room aren't really suicide drugs to my knowledge, some tranquilizers and anti-deprissives... |

Saw the funeral on tv yesterday, it was good to see so many people showing up to say their final goodbyes.

| he scribbled his final words down in the back six pages of his passport protesting his innocence. it's a shame that such a talented man was driven to this by the sport he loved. |
