What's hot in Brazil?

A good friend of mine from DC has announced his wedding to be held in Brazil. He and his fiance' want me to come and spin at their reception. I've 2-questions:
1) Sinoreh likes Techno and Marcio is pretty flexible. But what's hot in club scene in Brazil, specifically in Sau Paulo?
2) What kind of problems/challenges might I encounter getting my gear in and out of Brazil? My thoughts are to bring everything except speakers and amps. Since Marcio is a musician, I've been assured he has a resource for that. |

w00t!!! :D
São Paulo's got a strong drum'n'bass scene, with lots of techno too (and there are other genres that have some appeal, such as psy-trance, tech-house and house). It depends on how the party will be though. If they're playing something for their friends, then you need to know what these friends (are) like. As for the rest, I guess you'll get more reliable info in the Brazilian forum. In fact, I'm gonna translate your post (if you don't mind) so hopefully more people will be able to colaborate (if needed I can translate the replies back to English, although I believe most TA-Br's speak English very well too):

Então, cês podem ajudar o moço aqui? :p

Now would any mod from the MD be kind enough to move this to the Portuguese speaking forum, please? :)
(and please leave the link here for Mr. Tdurden :D) |
