First of all, Hello to all who might read this thread im posting my first right now.
My name is Jay and I live in Long Island NY. Been out of the scene for several years now but am starting to get back in. I have pretty much decided to buy a CDJ player its just coming down to which one Pioneer cdj1000mk2, denon dns5000 or wait till the technics cdjs are available. Anyone have experience with the first two wanna chime in ??? Thanx all. Hope to get to know a few of ya.

Honestly I would'nt wait for the Technics table, it is untested and last time I checked, this is their first venture into the cdj. market.
So it's probably a good idea to wait to hear some reviews on that one.
However the Pioneer CDJ-1000mk2 is an amazing table, and has been proven to be very reliable in my experience. So you honestly can't go wrong with the Pioneers, in fact that should be your #1 choice. But I've used the Denon to and it is almost just as sick, just it kinda lacks a few neat features of the Pioneers. But the fact that you can place old 45's on it to get that vinyl feel, is really dope!
Another worth looking into is the Numark CDX, it's been getting great reviews and is worth checking into! |

The CDJ1000MK2 is no doubt an amazing player. However one suggestion I would have if you are just getting back into DJing and are used to using vinyl (an assumption I am making) would be to think about purchasing 2 CDJ-800s which will cost you about the same as one CDJ-1000MK2.
I was able to get 2 CDJ-800s in the US for $1100 (including $100 mail in rebate per unit). You could then upgrade - the CDJ-800s are excellent units esp. at their price point. |

If you dont mind can you be a little more specific about the features that the pioneers have that the denon dosent. Cause I think I can live without the 45 on the top of the jog dial if the pioneer is a more advanced machine.:D
Thanks man
