Hi, k i'm making some white chicken chilli... and for some reason it made me think of the chilli cookoff.. which in turn made me think of this chilli DJ-offf they did in Seattle.. which is i'm assuming much like the chilli cookoff we have here but with EDM Dj's (just sharing cuz i'm bored)
Do we have anything like that here?? |

| I would definitely be interested in seeing a local contest of DJ's... something festive... just wondering if there is anything like that yearly around here! In Seattle when they did this, the winner won a residency... |

how about the winner gets to open for a big time DJ??
great idea but who would judge it?? almost every local DJ is somehow connected to a player in the DC scene...there would be too many politics involved...
besides, my cousin would kick all y'all asses :toothless |

Dinaire Force 1 should definitely be Judge #1.
As for the others, who knows... It depends on how big this event becomes, if it becomes highly publicized you might be able to get a couple bigger names to Judge (*cough*arty gets Markus and Edgar to come*cough*). Next would be to find a venue that wants to host such an event and someone that would want to promote the event. |

I mean...
.. I was askin if there already was a local contest like this.. but i guess this shows there would be a big interest if someone were to do it!.. I think a summertime thing outdoor during the day would be awesome.. on weekend before a big name were to come to town.. and then the winner be announced that night at the Venue where they will be spinning the following week!
It works out great for the venue cuz if they have a no namer that week.. well then they would at least have the place packed cuz peeps wanna know who won!! |
