it wouldn't be a chicken if it didn't lay eggs, however it oculd be another species that laid eggs and evolved into a chicken...
holy shiat, I think I solved the riddle....never really thought this deep into it. |

obviously an egg that mutated into a chicken :rolleyes:
it's a wide-known fact and doesn't take a genius to figure out (i figured it out when i was 10 :))

You just "figured" it out? :rolleyes: It's a little more complex than that. The first chicken was the result of two non-chickens where the DNA in their zygote contained mutations that created the new animal. The zygote cell can only be housed in the chicken's egg when producing this new animal, so the egg came first. I highly doubt you just figured that out for yourself. More likey you read it somewhere. |

actually, no, i thought that an egg mutated into a chicken since i was 10 years old and i didn't need any biology knowledge. |

Well it is actually the first cell of the new species; the zygote, that mutates within the egg, and not the egg itself. |
