LOL @ thread. Good one Jarek.
Too bad ginoism is spreading at break-neck speed these days. It's not something that's just associated with Italians anymore. They come in many shapes, sizes and colours now. They're everywhere dammit... Serenity now! Serenity now!!! :whip: :whip:
Edit:
Come to think of it.. I can't imagine Toronto without them. If they were to be suddenly blown off the face of the Earth (it's not like this thought hasn't crossed many of our minds before) I would miss them. Ginos are an important ingredient in the jambalaya of cultures and groups that make up Toronto. |
ahaha a while ago there was a person who signed up on TA as "brown gino". i was thinking maybe i shouldve sighned up as "yellow gino", or "green gino", or maybe even "multi-colour gino"AHAHAHAHA:stongue: :stongue: |

oh no man, i know as long as there's stores selling huge collared shirts and flared pants gino's will always exist
i'm just saying the term 'GINO' is exclusive to our region, it got twisted a bit.... doing some digging i found that the terms used for these entities are actually 'guido' and 'stella' |
ks that's a little better then!! thanks for the clarification ..
cuz to say that these "type" of people are only exclusive to TO would be nutz.. they do exist in other major urban centers but they're given another name..
in this case i would suppose that "ginoism" might be exclusive to the GTA.. or atleast the term .. i think it's spread to other parts of Canada tho .. most definately Montreal and Vancouver where relatives of Ginos may reside ..
the term has actually been in existence for some time ..
i think it began sometime in the 80's.. i recall when my older brother was in highschool back in the early 90's .. ie. 90/91.. the term was already been widely used .. i think it began primarily with the Italians and then eventually spread to anyone of Southern European descent.. now anyone can be a gino as long as they practice Ginoist ideology ..
