| I only use the channel faders. I have the behringer x700 and the curve on the xfader is fine. Just seems a little weird to use the xfader for some reason. Never have used it. |

Its only channels for me.
Gives me a lot more control.
I only use the crossfader when I'm juggling or trying a few tricks.
Would like to try the rotary mixers some time soon.Heard a lot of good things about them. |

channel faders! the only way to live!
my mixer has a proper curve, but i still prefer using the channel faders, way more control |

I'll add another voice to the chorus: Channel Faders! for more control, and also because my cross fader has an annoying dip in the center.
I'd like to see a mixer with a rotary crossfader |

CONTROL FREAKS!!!:D
But I have to say I agree with you all. Channel faders are the way forward... Don't forget to use gain to your advantage too.

when I first got my mixer I used the crossfader, though I learnt how to use the channel faders with the eqs.
I'd wish the crossfader would sort of click in the middle (like a temporary lock) for the transition and then to move the crossfader to the other end, to kill off the outgoing track and end the transition. |

The Xone 92 can be equiped with them, and I know some Rane mixers can have them. I think there's rotary kits for the DJM's also. |
Also the Vestax PCV275 has a rotary kit.
Rotary faders are great, but not suitable for my kind of mixing - they don't allow cutting... |

Its easier to cut smoothly using the faders if you know how.
even when mixing drum n bass, garage or scratching i still use the channel faders....Much much more control and no dip from the curve.
In fact i do not know one professional dj who does use it- in any style-with the exception of turntablism.
I think i used the X fader once......a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away... |
