We really would love for James to play the club or an event with us at some stage so stay tuned! |

oh what the ... i rather i see james holden than paul van dyk and ferry corsten combined... well almost ... BUT STILL!!! what the ! i was so excited.... its james holden!!!! prog. g0d!!! they better rebook him to a later date AT ARC.... otherwise its gonna be at a 21+ club again.... with a dress code!!!!!.... much more fun dancing to holden's prog. and tribal house ways with rave pants and a wild alfit to match his wild and free style of turntabilism. His sets since 2001 have been nothing short of pure genius, fresh, unique, and new :) James Holden is at the front of the progressive house scene, followed by others such as G-Pal, Yunus Guvenen (a.k.a. Indigo Child, Mavi), Petter, Subsky, Mathew Dekay, Luke Fair, Nathan Fake, Markus Schulz, Luke Chable, D-Fuse, Rouzbeh Delevari, Sultan & Tonedepth (a.k.a. Sultan with Digital Witchcraft = Jiva), Likwit, Elusive, Greg Benz (all performing extraordinary Oslo Nights prog. sets ^_^), Sasha, Momu, James Talk, Sasha, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Benz & MD, Pig & Dan, Habersham, and of course the uprising prog. star: Ozgur Can!.... as for myself... my particular five prog. djs that I have yet not scene and need to... top 10:
01. Yunus Guvenen (a.k.a. Mavi a.k.a. Indigo Child)
02. James Holden
03. Digital Witchcraft
04. G-Pal
05. Petter
06. Sultan & Tonedepth
07. Ozgur Can
08. Markus Schulz
09. Elusive
10. Likwit
^_^.... well as you can see i have plenty of time sitting here in my college library chatting away between classes :) Yesh, James Holden is in my top 3... i can't believe Moshic & Mavi (yunus guvenen) performed at Arc back in 2002 together and i missed it :nervous: ... the flyer was posted recently by pyro.... hmmmm.... i hope great prog. djs will have a place to spin after arc closes that are 18+... or at least have no dress code for when i turn 21.... place like these hard hard to come by nowadays.... crobar, centro-fly, spirit, etc etc are classy and require you to look nice :) and obviously big prog. djs like to drink (james holden is known by some to be a "pothead" and my favorite yunus guvenen has a picture of a bong with headphones on his website! rofl!....) so after arc closes i think we'll see less and less of prog. djs at 18+ clubs.... :(.... so i'll have to wait a bit :gsmile:
.... again this is all my opinion (probably all distorted from bias experiences)... I would love to know other people's opinion's on the progressive house scene in new york city....
.... hope to see you all (referring to TAs ^_^) tonight at victor dinaire's party at loft, 02.27 pvd, 02.28 ferry corsten :)

i dont think he ever said holden is better than anyone. he just said he is HIS favourite. just like the mets are my favourite baseball team, but right now they are no where near the best. 2 best right now look to be cubs and phillies, imo. |
