| A friend of mine gave me a tip about the new compilation by Jeff Mills, The Exhibitionist. I borrowed it a few days, and it was awesome! I hear there is also a DVD out - it's all over the latest issue of DJ Mag as well - does anybody know where I can buy this DVD? |

i bought the DVD.
im not even really into techno and i was pretty impressed, i got it simply cause i heard he was a god on 3 turntables and hes not too bad for sure...
a lot of it is pretty much cue and mix in straight away, so the tracks go out of time a fair bit :conf: but shrug.. i dunno guess you wouldn't notice loud? nice to watch anyway.
the 'behind the scenes' footage of him mixing in a window of a clothes shop is rather amusing :) |

Sigh...more evidence that Mills can't be arsed to do more than a half-assed job nowadays, cos he knows he will be worshipped by the entire detroit techno brigade regardless. Or perhaps he has just lost his touch? |

yeah as somone rightly pointed out to me mills could stand in front of a thousand techno purists twanging an elastic band and they would call it a revolution in techno. fair enough he's done near enough everything for the scene but i hear so many bad reports from people, then all the "real techno" fans instantly jumping to his defence.
wtf is that bootleg e he made, dead or alive vs jeff mills - spin me round. it's a shocking shocking tune, but all his worshippers seem to think it's just jeff, being fresh.....
he's coming to glasgow next friday, i'll pass a proper judgement after this. |
