Studio Monitors/Room Question

Hey this question is not for amateurs, but pros who have a good understanding of acoustics and space.
I'm about to buy monitors I have 2 rooms available to put my studio in. One room is 9feet by 9feet, and the other is 11 feet by 11 feet, both are 8 feet high. I've decided it's between the Mackie hr624's 6.7 inch woofer) and the Events TR8's(8 inch woofer). What do you think would be the best combination? Mackies 6.7 inch woofer in the 9by 9 room, or the Events 8inch woofer in the 11 by 11 room? Or the Mackies in the 11 by 11 room versus the Events in the 9 by 9 room?
The mackies do sound much better than the events but the events have more bass.
I'm aware about bass traps and the acouatic of the room will be dealt with once I hasve everything set up. |

| i heard the tr8's were a pos from a couple of guys at guitar center. they said go with the 624's and they knew i wansnt buying so they didnt just say it to make me buy it. i would take the mackies over the e tr8s anyday |

| A piece of ? Ok I think those guys are full of . The Events are not , I've heard the tr8's and they are great for the price. They are not Mackie's but they cost 3 times less. And they always get great reviews. |

| Well, if you can spare the change, see if you can go for the next model up on the Event product line, and get a pair of 20/20 bas's. They're biamped, have an 8" driver as well as a great tweeter. I went with a pair of these and the 20/20/15 subwoofer. They sound absolutely wonderful together, and I'll put that combination up against the hallowed 824's any day. Just my opinion though...I think they sound fantastic. Even without the subwoofer, they pump out plenty of bass. (easy to find a nice used pair on ebay too ;) ) |
