| Hey all, I'm looking into pro sound for mobile gigs. I've settled on the JBL Eon G2 15's and the matching sub for speakers. Can anyone recommend an amp for this setup? If I am playing basements, house parties, outdoor events, will I need an amp? Are there any other recommendations you can make to further modify my setup? |

| hey, this isn't regarding the question you posted, but i was wondering what kind of music you spin? cuz i noticed that in a previous post you mentioned ou were from rutgers. i'm from nj too and i know a lot of people who go to ru. its just good to see someone else who spins electronic music, no one here at nyu listens to trance, just me and like 4 or 5 friends. thats the only audience i have here to work with. now, that i think of it... most people i go clubbin with are from nj.... |

hey, dknylady got me into this crazy , shes the reason i bought turntables in the first place. I had been wanting to for a long time, she pushed me over the edge. Yeah I spin mostly hard house and a lil hard trance here and there. Hard trance is a great sound. When that 303 kicks in, im a happy kid.
That sucks about your NYU peeps not listening to this ish. I was at NYU tuesday for a competition. Im on the fencing team here at RU. But yeah, theres a decent amount of folks here who listen. When dknylady was spinning a party, a whole bunch of guys came up to her and told her they love trance. I dont know if they ment lasgo or darude, but still, its cool here. |

Well of course they would, for obvious non-musical reasons. LOL ;) |

Give me an idea of your price range and I'll have a look for ya. Might also help if you list some specs on the other gear you have as that will play a major part in what will actually work with it.
Cheers

| Well, I'm currently pushing two technics 1200's, just bought denon dn-d4000 cd decks, will be getting jbl eon g2 15"s with the matching sub and I have a behringer 700 mixer. Mostly playing basements, house parties and the like. Nothing big. Someone was saying that for that size room i wouldnt even need an amp for the eon's. Can you verify? Price range $1000 or under. I really have no idea about amps or where to even start my own research, otherwise i would. |

| JBL Eon G2's are powered, which means they have integrated amps. That should cater for your needs :) |

| You won't need an amp if you have EONs, just make sure that your mixer has XLR outputs so it can go straight to the EONs. |

| I don't think the Beringer he has does not have XLR outputs. |
