Israel imposed this crisis on itself by taking over someone else's land and abusing others. That's what abused people do--they fight back with a VENGEANCE. I'm not ignoring any facts. I recognize the innocent Israelis killed by suicide attacks, but when will you recognize the 2 year old boy who couldn't get to the hospital because the wall was in the way? When will you recognize that Israel sits on top of over 400 Arab villages? When will you recognize that Israel is in defiance of 69 UN Resolutions? When will you recognize that Israel's illegal settlement-building more than doubled in the eight years since the Oslo agreements. When will you recognize that an Israeli settler in Gaza consumes 200m3 of water while a Palestinian is allowed only 120m3! Racism! The list goes on.
Government reformation in Palestine is in the process. The Palestinian National Initiative (Al Mubadara) for example is an organization working in Ramallah to push democracy and democratic institutions in Palestine and at the same time reporting on Israel's atrocities. And you should also recognize that government reformation is extremely difficult with occupation. The PNI's latest article stated that elections are not possible with curfews, road-blocks, and checkpoints. People can't go out and vote! Recognize that as well. I assure you that there is no such thing as a viable Palestinian government that can be reformed in the first place as long as Israel is controlling any part of the region.
You speak of coexistence but you won't even recognize the Palestinians, instead saying "so called Palestinian". Why do you keep insisting that we recognize the state of Israel when you don't recognize the Palestinians?
The ultimate form of coexistence is one democratic and secular state shared by Arabs and Jews. This is our vision, although we may still accept two states if it means our people will stop dying. So don't accuse me of not working for coexistence. You're the one that will never accept one state for both peoples.
The article above is very long but it talks about interviews with leaders of Palestinian factions like Hamas, Jihad, and PFLP. Reading it is recommended if you want to understand these people better. |

Isn't it supposed to be 40 virgins? Either way, there has been a fair bit of controversy over that particular passage, from what i understand it may have been mistranslated, and they end up getting forty apples or something like that. :p
As for the resolution of the conflict, I honestly don't know if it can be resolved anymore. Neither side seems to want to make a sincere effort to stop the killing, all we get are more empty promises and cease fires that aren't really cease fires. |

Even if the 'big bad wall' didn't exist, who says this kid wouldn't have died at the 'big bad wall's good friend, the 'impassable roadblock':conf:
I don't think the big bad wall deserves all the credit for this, its not like it crumbled itself onto the kid or threw a piece of its concrete onto a Palestinian. I mean all it did was just stand there... maybe it was just forzen from shock? I mean the poor little guy is only a few months old, wouldn't you be terrified at such an age especially when thousands of people would like no better but to see your death ?
Look all I'm saying is ease off the wall, try and look at things from its point of view. So its towering, full of concrete, electornic sensors, razors, and barbed wire, but doesn't it have heart as well?

its not complete yet.
no/almost no suicide bombers come out of gaza - where the wall is complete.
2 major things halts the building of the wall in some crucial areas due to:
1. Stupid sleeping goverment that did nothing since it was elected.
2. Disscusions in the Israeli high court of justice about the route of the fance in certain areas - which frezes the construction until dessicion will be made. (just for general knowlage - also palestinians living in the occupied terretories can turn to the high court and prosecute the israli authorities) |

| Apartheid doesnt work. I'm not sure what the solution to this problem is, but keeping people on separate sides will only make things work. Better to get together and realize that you're not so diffrent. |

man yor not talking about reality here,
the fance must be built to prevent suicide bombings - it is the most peacful way to do it now.
it's route maybe should to be changed - but calling it "Apartheid" wall is very insulting and has no connection to reality. |

How bout we cage Israel instead for killing palestinians. Just build a wall around you guys. That would solve all the palestinian problems.
Was it good to build a wall around warsaw in order to concentrate the jews during WW2?
