Looking for some tips agin like last time!

Thanks
hey cheggy
Wrong forum mate. you want the amature producers forum, this is the production forum.

If you repost it in there, I give it a listen for ya.

I've always posted it here before, no problems earlier.
hey cheggy
[sarcasm] Your right, there is no Amature Music Producers Promotion forum, I made it all up. [/sarcasm]

There's been some debate about whether or not unfinished clips should be posted here or in the Amateur Promotion forum actually. I'd say that only tunes relatively closed to being finished should be posted in the promotion forum, and short clips like this posted here. Dunno, it does make things confusing though.

As for the track itself, turn the volume down! The entire thing is horribly clipped and as a result it makes it really hard to tell you much about it. Based on what I can hear, it sounds pretty good, if not a bit formulaic and un-creative sounding.

Stupid people suck..

What he is saying , is like saying "oh yeah, I've shot people before, but it must be ok because I did it then.."

well this is the "production studio" so It's an ok place to get feedback on an unfinished song..

welll... this song has a really good lead and melody but it's distorted to .. I wish people would learn to master already.. can't you hear how terrible it soudns when it's distorted?
BassAngel
oooch- that is way WAY too distorted - TURN THAT THING DOWN (umpteen mothers shout!)

riff is good - hey maybe try taking it up an octave somewhere in there for a bit of "pop-song-key-change-interest". I do like the riff - bit happy, can't hear the rest cos of the distort. Like someone said somewhere else, there is a volume knob and people will use it - very easy temptation to fall into, ramping the volume up to get that "loud" sound.

Please excuse the fading of the synth, I worked on the project on this comp, which only has a demo version of Vangaurd at the moment. But I think you can get the idea.

God I love that program :) - this one sounds much better - but you might want to get a program like Sound Forge - if used right, there Wave Hammer is INVALUABLE in getting a nice loud but undistorted sound..

are those presets or did you make those synths with vanguard?

alanzo
listen to the difference the wave hammer can make, I did this myself.. if you want to get a FULL spectrum of sound though, EQing is the way to do it and then the Wave Hammer..

check it out

Wow alanzo, thanks for the tip, I can see a huge difference.
