i was installing a program (remotelyanywhere) and it quit in the middle of the process with a "fatal error"
so now if i try to install it again, it does the same thing and there's no way to uninstall it, the button is grayed out in the add/remove programs panel.
is there anything i can do besides manually searching through the registry and trying to delete any records of it? |

| If you're running XP do a system restore to they day before then try installing again. |

| lol, who uses system restore? It takes around 800Mb, and some processor time. Just reinstall, and keep backups of EVERYTHING! |

You can try nuking the files from Program Files directory. If that doesn't work, you can also try running a reg sweeper. That's why when I build my system, I create a ghost image of the "clean" build - this way I don't have to mess around with hours of re-installs. Once done, takes about 15 minutes to bring the sytsem up to pristine condition.
Best of luck with it. BTW, Remotely anywhere is a sweet proggie, since our work is blocking sitest like e-bay - that's the only way I can get to my .
Later. |

| Heh, my system restore somehow turned itself on once, and I didn't notice until it was taking up 15 gigs. |
