Right people, this is my first tune since beginning to peruse these forums and tell you what, I've improved lods (special big up "thank-you-so-much-I-don't-know-what-I'd-have-done-sob-sob" etc etc to DJ Sean and his ATRC tute (read it NOW!!) - really helped me with the sub bass on this thing - before I'd never even thought about it!)
Wrote this and finished in a couple of days which is so unusual for me as usually they kick round on me hard drive for far too long.
Wonder if you can tell a woman caused the emotion behind this.
Anywayz, enough jibber-jabber - download and tell me what you think!!!!!!!!!!! AND it's a direct download, so what are you waiting for??

(would recommend not listening on headphones cos it sounds all wrong on them - well, it sounds like the bass is too loud, but maybe it is....) |

Very emotional :) and nice calm atmoshpere..liked it..
but the clap i think it doesn't fit..the sample you used, also the kick is bit overpowerd.

Clap you say? Yeh, I see what you mean. I'm finding it harder than I thought to get a decent clap in there, I can't even think of one that would sound right. It's kind of annoying me.
Kickdrum overpowered eh? I'll get a chance to listen on some decent rig this evening and will listen out for that specifically.

Kick seems okay to me. The clap is a bit standard, maybe try using something else instead of a clap. It can be fun making weird sounds to use instead.
Try filtering off the attack and giving it a nice long reverb tail. That usually makes the clap positioned sound a bit nicer in the mix and can provide a little bit more momentum.
As for your melody its alright, just not my kind of music unfortunately, too slow. Sounds nicely made though.
Maybe bring down the level of the clap if you keep the same one and try and boost the arp lead a little, or better yet, compress the master channel which should bring up the synth sounds a bit. |

Wow, this one took me by surprise. I like the melody alot, the whole harmony is just great and very relaxing. I wouldnt mind remixing it one day ;).

it seems to need more high freq's when i listen to it on my radio, but that's probably my radio;)

I can't really say any more than the others before me, but I also wanted to say that you've made a very nice piece of work.
Actualy, the clap is a bit simple and overused, but because of it I felt that this track was made in the past and unfortunately I could hear it first tonight. It's like I missed this track in the last years.
And yes, it's very touching. Love the melody.

this is quite nice, the synths are too standard and amateury, love the bassline, clap doesn't really bother me.
have a play with the elements and get a really nice string in there if u can, the 1 u have at the minute doesn't do the tune justice by a long way and cram a load of fx in there :)
this is defo a winner, just needs the hard yards putting in :) |

Based on hearing this, I can see that my tutorial really did help you because the bass is excellent in this; far better than most of the bass I hear posted here, good job on that.
I'd agree with Terry about the synths, possibly a little on the cheapish side. Melodies are quite nice though, this is really nice and chill. Keep it up! |
