hi guys,
wondering if anyone can give us some advice, i want to purchase an external hard drive, but not sure which one, i have narrowed it down to 2, but not sure which to get, the two are
hard drive 1
and
hard drive 2
is the extra 50 gig worth losing some rpm over, and if so, how much of a decrease in speed will i see?
any help apreciated

I would go with the 7200 RPM one.. transfering data is noticably faster with 7200 vs 5400.. what do you want to store on it?

all my music mostly, its to back it all up, and when i move overseas, then i can just take it with me, though i will be transfereing a lot at the start, after that, it is more of a storage option

hrmm.. well if it's just for storage then I would go with the 5400RPM - 7200RPM is good for quick access (like playing a video game or something) but if your just going to be storing music/movies then 5400RPM will do you just as good..

i think i am going to go with the 300gig one, it frees up a lot of my internal space for playing games and stuff, and if i do transfer data, its just temporarily to be burned
