Wsan't sure I was going to attend this event, but I am so glad I did. Expected to see many more TA's out than what showed up, but for those who didn't make it- u missed a great nite out! (waiting to hear techno addict's long-winded excuse about how his car broke down again in Buffalo as to why he didn't attend, or what not). That was the most packed I'd seen Boa yet in the 4x I have gone. It was also rather hot, and that coat check line...! So packed it was hard to look for friends. The vibe was excellent, crowd friendly, and amazing tunes. Can't name a single track Satoshi dropped, but his last track was KILLER! Only heard Hector's 1st song of his set b4 we left, but it was THE TUNE of the night for me. ID's anyone??? Nice to see the few of you who made it out for the night.
Did anyone stay til the end? When did it end? How was Hector's set?

Hey Nat,
Glad you had a good time. I would have gone if I could (saying the same for Scumfrog next week which would be insane)
Deep Dish @ Crobar was okay. Crobar is a nice venue - main room is abou the size of Nation (about 2K capacity). The sound is definitely very good - on par with Boa. But Deep Dish played a mediocre set with no new matieral and they had technical problems like the CDs skipping.
The Guv/Koolhaus is still the best club in North American in my opinion. Ian can kiss my ass. ;) Can't wait to see you guys for Digweed! :D |

Sorry i didnt make it (for those who were lookin for me). I went so hard on Friday night for the TA sets, and then Desyn Masielo KILLED me. Then last night it was my brothers suprise bday party, i got completely smashed. I regret not going but i guess i have more energy saved up for Scumfrog next week! |

i expected romero to play some slow panzie house as i heard he would but he played nice tracks..and satoshi just murdered me...

| What an insane night!! I just wish more TAs came out. Shoutouts to: Jason, Nat, Graham, Dallas and Christina. So I finally saw Satoshi Tomiie live. I wouldn't be listening to prog if it wasn't for this man and he did not disappoint last night. Track after track of pure insanity were pumped out of those massive speakers. The dance floor was packed all night and everyone was having a good time. I left about half an hour into hector's set. He was still in the build up stage and from what I heard he was doing a good job. I love Boa but everything there has a huge lineup. The line to get in, the coat check and the washrooms were all so long but friendly staff (I must say they really were working as fast as they could make things move faster) and good music made the situation bearable. All-round great night.. thank you Satoshi!! |

There were lots of people wearing tshirt, jeans and runners. Didn't see anyone get turned away because of the dresscode. For those people worried about the age limit, I didn't even see the bouncers check ID. |

Well, i got there @ 3, took me 30 minutes to get in even with bypassing the line and my free pass.
After waiting for 30 minutes to check my coat, I said screw it and tossed it behind a bench...
It's 4 @ this point, couldn't even walk anywhere.. it was so packed it made the main room @ Guv during Labour of Love look roomy. I couldn't get into a good mood (rare for me) and left around 4:30, but it still took me 25 minutes just to manouver through the club.
Boa is one of my favorite clubs, but I hope Scumfrog isn't as rammed, or else I'll probably stay away from big events there. |

I didn't think it was that bad...It was rammed at first, lots of people left around 6h00 am, and only the good party people stayed and it was so worth it !!!
The lineups were the worst I had ever seen....the only way to get around it is if you can afford it !!!:rolleyes:
I had a blast, and I will definately go back for Scumfrog !!!
