My first drawing in Illustrator

This is my first ever drawing in Adobe Illustrator, what do you guys think?
I know Photoshop very well but have always been avoiding Illustrator, till now.

nice.....
i love illustrator....photoshop on the otehr hand i really use just for photo manipulation....
pretty sweet for your first try....
how exactly did you draw it? pen?, pencil? in CS?
i usually trace with the pen (no bessiers), and have layers of transparent shapes for shadows (use pathfinder to get similar shapes)....etc etc...the mutiply transparency does wonders :) |

I simply did the tracing with the brush and pencil tools and did the fills on it.
I later brought it into photoshop, where I added the Shadows and Skin colour. I don't know the advence functions in Illustrator yet.
What I really don't like about this drawing is the lips. They don't look too realistic to me, any suggestions as to what I should do? |

instructional cd's for using adobe illustartor CS and photoshop CS, lets u know all the upgrades aince illustrator 11 and PS 7, and they're pretty much a course on CD for hwo to use the program...
seriously check this out if you wanna learn on your own quick |

Yea, the mouth is usually the hardest part of an illustration.. that and the hands :P But i would say you did a damn fine job! Especially for your first time. Lips look good :p :p |

very nice Paul! i still hav yet to master Illustrator .. perhaps u can teach E2EK1EL a few things too so he doesn't keep bugging me about helping him on his assignments .. :D

outline the lips with a fine black line cos the rest of ur illustration has the outline thing goin on...
