Well it has been 4 weeks tomorrow and the bastards still have not paid out for my car to be repaired. I seriously know all when i am talking to the insurance company. My company told me i had to pay £250 young drivers excess fee (Norwich Union direct) and i cant afford that being at uni. Moore Than said the bloke refuses to accept responsibility.

What the hell should i do?

My car is all scratched up at the back. 21 days have passed from sending claim forms out to the bloke, yet they sent him more out on the 10th of Feb coz of reasons i do not know.

I phoned up financial "something" (forgot their name) but they work for government to make sure that insurance companies do whats legally required. They said they cant investigate it because i am with Norwich Union and i am not making a complaint against them, i had to be with More Than insurance company to make a complaint about them.

What the shall i do? Im getting really stressed!!!

Ok, here's how it goes.

Like i said before, due to the Highway Code stuff, if someone goes into the back of you, its is AUTOMATICALLY there fault, regardless of conditions. You must stress that to either company.

More Than insurance will therefore have to pay for YOUR damage, since THEIR client caused it. YOU do not pay YOUR excess as you were not at fault, and More Than have to pay it. I might be wrong though, as you may have to contribute to the damage...

More Than are gonna try and take as long as possible to pay. All you have to do is keep on ringing up your company and telling them to hassle more than.

And you probably rang up the Financial Ombudsman, the insurance regulatory body. In your case, they can't do anything as neither insurance company has done anything wrong, as of yet.

phone more than up again & Mention complaints, trading standards & stuff, and they might melt for ya... doubt it tho

Bit ter now, just booked my car in for its MOT. I go abroad on 24th March and my MOT runs out on 25th March. I booked it in for 17th, as i get back on the 16th of April. THey said the car would automatically fail therefore if that light did not work. My car would then not be road worthy at all, obviously failing an MOT.

Im gonna phone them up and mention that to them

I hate Insurance company. I gotta say, as much as those twats that have no insurance, i can see why they do it. I pay over £1000 for my car to be insured this year. What the do my insurance company do? nothing!

Only do this coz its illigal if i dont!

Even if you fail your MOT, on the light thing (i believe that it is the number plate light illuminator thingy that is damaged?), your car is still roadworthy and they will still let you drive off in it, as it is not a dangerous failure, like brakes that don't work, etc.

But mention that to the insurance company, as you would have to fork out for a re-test, that could have been avoided if the repairs had taken place.
