Wow. This is a great topic. Like most others, I do not know why hardtrance/style has fallen off the map lately. Maybe because the number of quality trance productions far out pace the number of quality hardstyle productions.
I think most of us out here at TA have a soft spot for hardtrance but
we just havent seen much that has floored us.
So that's a wake-up call for all your hardstyle producers...

Hard trance is alive, but between all the hardstyle and hard cheese, all the good releases seem to drown nowadays. Tis a shame, cos tracks like Thomas Rubin - Cold Night and Elektromulch - Das Nichts! show that hard trance is still very much alive and kicking. For some newer ones, check these:
Kai Tracid - Conscious (ASYS Remix)
Derb - Attack/DFC
Wallstädt & Dörfler - Consistant Cycles (Uberdruck Remix)
DJ Slideout - Leave Us Alone
Compound - Chemical Symptoms (Fast Floor Remix)
and so on. |

Yeah Hard Trance died on its arse a while back due to lack of innovation from the producers. But its on the rise again atm and like Jan said there are some decent tracks around atm. u just have to look a little deeper. the stuff thats coming back now is a lot more interesting and innovative. u only need to hear Derb - Attack to understand that.
As for people not liking hard trance thats cuz they are all little pansies who cant take real bass :p |

i still prefer Kai Tracid - 4 just 1 day (Derb rmx) and Kai Tracid - Trance & Acid (Derb rmx) to their new productions and remixes...also Derb - In Africa sounded quite nice in a club when i heard it a couple years back or so |

I dont mind some quality hard trance. but mostly im not into, i rather listen to techno. |
