Audio output problem

For some reason my right turntable is sending a signal for the right channel to my mixer that is 4dB louder than the left channel.

I've checked all the pan controls to see they are set dead centre and also inspected the cartridge and did not see anything amiss. The turntables are Numark TT-1650s and both decks are using Shure M44-Gs. The wiring connections all seem to be secure also, so I'm not sure what else could be causing this. Any trance addicts have an idea on what to check?

Take the headshells off both decks, and switch them. If the problem follows the headshell, then its a problem with your cart/stylus. If it stays with the TT, then you know its a problem with either the TT or the mixer.

This should help you narrow it down....
