| MSN! : )) I use it only b/c it notifies me when new emails come in and also b/c some people don't have icq. Other than that when i have a choice i always use icq. Many more options are available there, especially if you're experienced icq user. RIght now i have 20 ppl on my MSN list and about 300 on my icq list :D |

bless your souls!
you don't know how much it touches me to know that there are still some ICQ die hards out there .. :sadgreen:
i'm sorry but i still lump MSN with that of Apple iMac's and Sony Products ..
besides it's a major pain in the ass trying to do programming assignments over the web using MSN .. i don't need my program code truncated after 20 lines!!

| I use both as well, because all the ladies are on my MSN and all my friends are on ICQ. Chicks dig all the emotion icons that ICQ doesn't have. ICQ is more of a macho thing. |

Well, I used to really like ICQ, but it's a shame what America Online has done to it.. It consumes instane amounts of memory, takes a while to start up and just slowes things down. MSN is much faster.
I'm using Trillian at the moment. It's not perfect, but it's easy on my computer resources and allows me to communicate with anyone using ICQ, MSN and whatever else is out there.
My verdict: ICQ is going through the same stage as Netscape. Soon enough only 2-3% of population will be using it. |

I think that was AOL's initial plan. They wanted ppl to switch to AOL messenger, that's why they intentionally made out of ICQ what it is now... But Microsoft owned AOL messenger with MSN.
PS Perhaps we should start using that version of ICQ that u made in ur OAC Visual Basic project :D |

hey em, did you get rid of the msn ad bar completely?
you can easily get rid of the ads, but the bar is still there.
