| Who is a bigger buffoon? It's Rush Limbaugh for right wingers and Michael Moore for the nutty left wing conspiracy theorists. Personally, I think Michael Moore is a bigger buffoon. His lies are atrocious and he's a far bigger hypocrit than Rush. At least they both bring humour to political perspectives. |

Question.
What are his lies?
and, could you name where he was hypocritical?
I could say Bush is an idiot and look up dozens of quotes of his use of poor English to back me up, now you back yourself up. |

Hmmm tough call. would say rush is a bigger hyopcrit simply for the drug thing. That's blatantly obvious. Moore is a little more sneaky and you have to actually go out of your way to dig up some dirty on him.

Limbaugh in my opinion. At least the stuff Moore says has some element of the truth in it. Whilst Bowling For Columbine clearly did include some lies and deceptions, at least it did bring about some positive change and/or a realization that America has a serious problem with guns.
Then again, I suppose I am a pretty strong left winger on most issues, so I am a bit biased here. |

Went there, and the only possible lie in regards to the academy awards I saw had to do with him telling the media that there were lots of people standing up and cheering for him, which doesn't seem like a huge distortion IMO. |

Read more closely. It had to do with his film. I suppose I could also dig up some of his other lies he's told to gain publicity if you want ... |

Heh ... still does nothing to dismiss the claims made by the site I originally posted ;) (and he has taken some of Moore's rebuttals/arguments into consideration and comments on them ... at least the ones applicable to the arguments he is making). Don't know anything about that gun nut who was on CNN he's raving about though. |

| They're both dangerous demagogues, if you ask me, but I don't think Moore is quite in the same class as Limbaugh. |

| They're both buffoons, but I must agree with the majority here so far that Limbaugh is the bigger nimrod. |

Read this for the dirt on how Bowling for Columbine is a lying, deceptive bunch of tripe: http://www.hardylaw.net/Truth_About_Bowling.html
That's just that film never mind the his other work which could easily be refuted on the basis that it is just anti-American propaganda based on twisted facts and misrepresentations of the truth.
As for being a hypocrit, for all his talk about being a capitalist hating advocate for the poor, he certainly makes a good living off the system he says he's against. (ie, he lives in a palatial New York Apartment, charges astronomical fees for his lectures etc...).
Moore advocated against private schools, yet he sends his daughter to the most prestigious private school in the USA.
If he's so anti-corporation, he certainly enjoys the benefits of having a large corporate publisher doing his work. You'd think a guy of his status could start his own publishing company or go through some independant publisher..but, oh wait, he couldn't make enough money that way. |
