Thanks for the poll.

Don't pay attention to the CNN poll, since it's not a scientific poll.

I'm looking at what the Independents say, 52% oppose vs. 37% favor a constitutional amendment, and I see that Kerry/Edwards will be ok on this issue. In fact, I think this could hurt Bush with some moderates and civil libertarians as was mentioned earlier.

I think it might be good that he did this.:D

I am for giving the marriage rights to homosexuals, but I also think it might be the best solution if we just try to get civil unions that same right as marriages. There will still be an out-cry against it, but I think it would quell some of the religious people.

Also CNN front-page poll from right now:

Should the U.S. Constitution be amended to ban same-sex marriages?

Yes 42% 129669 votes
No 58% 178821 votes

Total: 308490 votes

Also sometimes I wish Hitler would of won, due to retards like LouisLaBelle. Can't believe you come from the same place Alizee is from.

As previously said the cnn poll doesnt mean much of anything. All the real polls I've seen concerning gay marrage shows the majority of people support baning it. Furthermore the majority of people who don't support it are democrats who are unlikely to vote bush anyways.

As far as the hitler comment, thats a definite //\\//(())

Sigh...

The answer makes too much sense for any politician to embrace.

Marriage:
-Recognized by church only, not by the state in any way.
-Man+Woman

Civil Union:
-Recognized by the government.
-No restrictions of subjective origin.

Oh, and I don't think this will affect Bush much one way or the other. He'll lose some moderates and gain some extremists, probably in fairly equal numbers.

Homosexuality is tied to an imbalance of hormones the baby recived before its born(specifically testosterone and estrogen). Its really not important though. If you don't support gay marriage you probably dont care, and if you do then its not changing anything. I also think that civil unions have a place in society, but marriages don't.

do you have proof of that?

and i never said i don't support gay marriage, if that is what you are implying.

Not implying that you dont support it just in general. As far as proof goes I don't think that theres any study that shows theres 100 percent correlation, but in my AP psych class we went over studies done by a couple of major universitys that support the hormone theory.

God is not against gay people, god made gay people just like god made deaf, blind , mentaly retarded people . Ok if we are against gays then lets be against blinds and deafs too. Is not like you going to wake up one day and decide that you want to be gay . Heard about x and y chromosomes ? I think x is a male and y is a female chromosome. Some male was born with more female chrmosomes thats why they are attractive to guys and thats goes in the other way.

A birth defect? BIRTH DEFECT?

OH DEAR.:haha:
