How do you know for sure that it's infected with a trojan virus? Did you run a virus scanner on it, or did your firewall say it was trying to access the internet? You need to be more specific for me to believe you so I can run the same test on my own copy and see if I get the same result.
Cryogenic
Its not infected.

What about a tiny bit of investigation eyh ?

From Propellerheads site:

A recent virus definition update for Norton Anti Virus detects our software titles Reason, ReCycle and ReFill packer as the backdoor.blarul virus. We have checked the software and as far as we can see, the software has not been tampered with after build time, meaning that any virus would be introduced as we compile the code, and that's unlikely.

Also, no other virus protection software detects these files as infected, so it looks like what Symantec calls a false positive, meaning that the files are being detected as infected even if they are not.

We have submitted the software in question to Symantec, who will investigate this further and hopefully give us a response shortly. We hope to have more information available by tomorrow.

To keep using our software in the meantime, you can set Norton Anti Virus to skip the Reason.exe, ReCycle.exe and ReFill packer.exe when scanning the system.

My H.O. - there's no smoke without fire. If you know how AV works, it searches for certain patterns in software. When it finds it - it reports it as such. What this means is it is possible that developer may have included a backdoor in their product (wouldn't be the first time something like that happen, now, would it? ).

But... chances of that are (probably) slim. I do think that maybe AV goofed. If that's the only AV that picks it up. Now, if other AV products pick it up as well, you may have a reason for concern.

Just my $0.0001/2 worth:toothless
