| I just got back from a preview showing. I was totally amazed. This movie stirs up lots of emotion. Wow...when Mary flashed back to Jesus as a kid, dang. It hits hard. Just wanted to know your guys' opinions... |

FFS, another thread about this. I fear it won't be the last either.
Why can't we just make 1 giant thread about this topic instead of flooding the CoR with it. I'm SO SICK of hearing about this movie already. You can't cycle through all the channels on the TV here without hearing about it at least twice. MEDIA OVERKILL!
"Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people." - Karl Marx |

| Go away. There are already a million threads on the topic, and most of them clogged with horrible atteampts at apologetics, and/or Christians urging us all to 'convert and embrace jeeebus'. It's a movie, get over it already. :nervous: |

See that's why I hardly go to movies anymore.
I remember when I was a kid they were $3.50.

| Didn't mean to cause some ager in some people. I was just asking for people's opinions and reviews of the movie if they have already seen it. |

if you have any clue about Karl Marx, I wouldn't go as far as to quote him. His ideology was no reference and if his hopes and dreams were alive today I don't think our lives would be 1/10th as enjoyable as they are now.
The hipocrisy of these words is beyond me. Communism as the oppresive USSR fashion put it was to opress the mind and soul and control the people, putting the leader at the center making him take the place of God and any self motivation/belief; quite hypocritical to criticize the concept of religion when Marx's beliefs were all about imposing a belief on the people.
It's just a never ending loop to chaos, downwards. |
